LUMBERJACK FILM – RATES, TERMS & CONDITIONS

By confirming a booking with Lumberjack Film, clients agree to the following Terms & Conditions.1. Service Rates

Videography

  • $175 per hour (incl. GST)

  • Minimum booking: 5 hours (base rate $875)

  • Additional hours billed at $175/hr.

Editing

  • $175 per hour (incl. GST)

  • Minimum editing block: 5 hours (base rate $875)

  • Additional hours billed at $175/hr.

  • Editing commences only once all required materials have been provided by the client (briefs, scripts, assets, footage).

Photography

  • $225 per hour (incl. GST)

  • Includes both shooting and photo editing.

  • Minimum booking: 5 hours unless otherwise agreed.

Combined Video + Photo Operator (Budget Option)

  • $250 per hour (incl. GST)

  • Available only for selected clients.

  • A single operator covers both video and photography.

  • Priced at a specialty rate below standard two-operator costs.

  • Considered a budget option with simplified deliverables.

  • Scope and expected outcomes must be discussed and approved prior to booking.

  • Not all outcomes can be guaranteed

  • Photos and video cannot be captured simultaneously

Live-streaming

  • From $300 per hour (incl. GST).

Drone Work

Licensed aerial drone work is included within standard videography unless otherwise specified.

Drone flights are subject to:

  • CASA regulations

  • Airspace restrictions

  • Weather

  • Property approval

If drone flight is restricted on the day, no refund applies as crew and equipment were allocated.

Subcontractors

Lumberjack Film reserves the right to engage trusted subcontractors under its direction.

Turnaround Times

Standard Turnaround

  • Edits typically delivered in average of 5–7 days.

  • During busy periods average of: 7–12 days.

  • During peak demand: up to 14 days.

Turnaround time begins only after all client assets and instructions have been received.

Expedited / Rush Turnarounds

1–2 Day Turnaround (Same-Day or Next-Day)

  • 40% surcharge applied to

    • Videographer rate

    • Editor rate

    • Photographer rate (for edited photo delivery)

3–4 Day Turnaround

  • 20% surcharge applied to the same roles.

Same-Day Edit Workflow

Lumberjack Film can provide same-day edited deliverables by having:

  • The camera operator and editor work collaboratively in real time, or

  • The photographer shoot + edit same-day.

This service attracts the 40% rush surcharge across all involved roles.

Edit Rounds, Changes & Scope Variations

Included Edit Round

Each project includes one (1) consolidated round of edit changes.

Changes must be:

  • Submitted all at once

  • Clearly time-coded

  • Preferably via the provided Frame.io review link

All changes will be executed in a single revision pass.

Additional Changes

Billed at $175/hr (incl. GST).
No minimum applies.

Change Submission Window

Edit changes must be submitted within 30 days of initial delivery.

Requests after 30 days may incur:

  • Archive retrieval fees

  • Additional edit charges

Verbal changes or approvals on set are billable.

Clients must nominate one primary decision-maker. Fragmented feedback may attract additional edit charges.

Music & Graphics

  • Royalty-free music (if specially requested): $25–$100 per project.

  • Advanced graphics/titles: $25–$150 per project.

  • Basic titles, logo cards and simple supers included.

Travel & Destination Work

For work outside Sydney metro or requiring extended travel:

Custom pricing applies.

For work requiring significant travel, Lumberjack Film charges a

Travel Time Rate of $75 per hour (incl. GST).

This rate:

  • Is rounded up to the nearest full hour

  • Includes fuel/petrol costs

  • Includes meals required during travel

Travel Time is chargeable for:

  • Driving time beyond standard Sydney metropolitan travel

  • Airport travel, check-in, waiting time

  • Flight duration

  • Airport transfers, baggage wait, vehicle pick-up/drop-off

  • Travel required for regional, interstate, or destination shoots

  • Client-requested travel that prevents the crew from undertaking other work

Travel Time compensates for non-productive hours where crew are in transit and unavailable for other bookings.

Booking, Cancellation & Payment Terms

  • Cancellations within 72 hours of shoot: full quoted amount payable.

    Invoices are due strictly 30 days from issue.

    Late payments may incur:

    • 5% late fee

    • Suspension of file access

    • Recovery costs if required

    Copyright remains with Lumberjack Film until full payment is received.

File Delivery & Storage

  • Download links available for 30 days.

  • Re-uploads or extended storage attract a storage/re-upload fee.

  • Clients are responsible for downloading and backing up their files.

  • Raw footage delivery requires:

    • Transfer time billed

    • Drive supplied by client (unless otherwise agreed)

Client Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for:

  • Securing talent releases

  • Location permissions

  • Brand clearances

  • Music rights (unless arranged by Lumberjack Film)

Clients must:

  • Communicate delivery timelines at engagement

  • Provide all assets before editing begins

  • Confirm expectations when selecting budget operator option

Usage Rights & Intellectual Property

Upon full payment:

  • Clients receive non-exclusive usage rights for agreed deliverables

  • Raw footage remains property of Lumberjack Film unless separately negotiated

Resale, third-party re-editing, or expanded commercial usage requires written approval.

Lumberjack Film reserves the right to use completed work for portfolio and marketing unless confidentiality is agreed prior to booking.

Live-streaming Disclaimer

Lumberjack Film is not responsible for:

  • Venue internet instability

  • Platform outages

  • Third-party encoding failures

Best efforts will be made to provide backup recording.

Overtime & Extended Shoot Days

Additional hours billed at standard rate.

Work exceeding 10 hours in a single day may attract a 1.5x overtime rate.

Breaks must be provided in accordance with safe working standards. If not possible due to client schedule, time remains billable.

Our plan is simple. Whether you want someone to shoot, produce, edit or fly - for those essential aerial shots - whatever your production needs are, we charge the same price.

We have a minimum call out of 5 hours but we are happy to use those hours across different areas of production. We only charge you for what you need. Hours can not be banked or used across multiple days unless agreed prior with Lumberjack staff.

We arrive with all the equipment to shoot and produce all types of content. Social media spots, corporate coverage, events and commercial grade television and commercials - our work is versatile, and our prices competitive.
