Lumberjack Film shoots, edits and delivers video on the same day across Sydney. A former news cameraman films your announcement, press conference, interview or event in the morning, cuts it on a laptop in the field, and you have a finished video by mid afternoon. $1,000 for the first 5 hours, then $175 an hour, plus a 40% rush surcharge on the edit, GST included.

Price
$1,000 for the first 5 hours, then $175 an hour. Editing $175 an hour with a 40% same-day surcharge. GST included. For a typical 2 hour shoot and 2 hour edit delivered the same afternoon, budget around $1,500 including GST.
Turnaround
Same day. Rough cut usually within 2 hours of wrap, final within 1 hour of approval.
Common questions
Can you really deliver a video the same day? Yes. It is how news works and it is how we started. Tell us the deadline and we work back from it.
What is the cutoff for same-day delivery? If we wrap filming by 1pm, a 90 second piece is normally with you by 4pm. Later wraps are still possible, just tell us the hard deadline.
Do you supply footage to TV networks? Yes. We shoot to broadcast standard and can deliver in network codecs or push directly to a newsroom.
Can our producer see footage while you are still shooting? Yes. We push proxies and selects from the field as we go, so your producer can start cutting or approving before we wrap.
How do we approve the edit if we are not there? We send a Frame.io link for the rough cut. You comment with timecodes and we turn the final around.
Can you cover a press conference? Yes. We get the podium, cutaways, the Q&A and vox pops, and can cut a 60 to 90 second version for release.
Is same-day available in Melbourne? Yes through our Melbourne operator. Other states quoted on request.
